Amitabh Bachchan and Waheeda Rehman will star together after 25 years in Dilli 6. They play Abhishek's dada-dadi

Amitabh Bachchan and Waheeda Rehman, who formed a super hit pair in films like Adalat, Mahaan and Kabhie Kabhie in the '70s and '80s, are working together after 25 years. The two last worked together in Mahaan and Coolie, which released in 1983.

The legendary actors play Abhishek Bachchan's grandparents in Dilli 6. The film is produced by UTV Motion Pictures and directed by Rakyesh Mehra.

Our source from the production house confirms the news and says, "Yes Amitji and Waheedaji shot together in Rajasthan recently. It was like one big reunion. Both of them have worked together in a number of super hit films. In fact, Waheedaji even played Amitji's mother in Coolie and Trishul. Rakyesh Mehra is extremely close to the Bachchans and he has already worked with Waheedaji in Rang De Basanti."

It was a nostalgic time as Amitabh Bachchan and Waheeda Rehman shot together for three days.

"They often talked about the old days. Abhishek and Sonam Kapoor too joined the senior actors for dinner while they were shooting in Rajasthan. The entire unit had a great time during the film's shoot," says our source.

"Incidentally this will be the first time that Amitji will be playing Abhishek's grandfather and not father. In fact, some crew members used to tease Abhishek about it. They often told him to stop calling Amitabh pa and call him grandpa instead," adds our source.
