| Abhishek Bachchan may act opposite Kareena in Randhir Kapoor's upcoming movie. Actor-producer Randhir Kapoor's keeping it under wraps, so that the secret is revealed in style. The occasion is the launch of two films under Raj Kapoor's RK banner, to be directed by Randhir Kapoor and Rajeev Kapoor each, from December. This will be Randhir's next after Heena and Rajiv's second after Prem Granth. Both the brothers are busy finalising the scripts and the pre-production work.
Interestingly though, it's the cast that's more fascinating. Actor Abhishek Bachchan may play the male lead, opposite Kareena Kapoor. They had debuted together in Refugee. Randhir says, "It's going to be a mega-launch. I don't want to let out anything. I have grand plans. But yes, Kareena will hopefully play the lead in my film." On whether AB Jr will be the male lead or not, Randhir says, "As far as casting Abhishek as the male lead for the film is concerned, the RK banner had signed him for a film a couple of years ago. And now, the modalities are being worked upon. Issues like the availability of his dates and other such problems have to be taken into account. I don't want to confirm or deny anything at this point. If I confirm and tomorrow it doesn't happen, what's the point?"
As for the Kapoors touching base with Abhishek for the film, after a broken engagement with Karisma Kapoor a couple of years ago, Karisma's uncle and director Rajeev Kapoor, whose film is also going on the floors says, "All of us are professional, educated and cultured. We leave our personal problems at home. Yes, we have bumped into each other. After all, he is also my relative, yaar. There's no awkwardness between us." There are also rumours that Karisma is returning to films, and Randhir's film will be her comeback vehicle. Randhir vehemently denies this, "She is married and has no intentions of coming back to movies. And no, she isn't in my film."
