With the much awaited Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (KANK) releasing this Friday, we get actor Abhishek Bachchan talking on Karan Johar, Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and the rumour of him not being too happy with his role in the film.

How is it to be part of a Karan Johar film?

It’s wonderful to be part of a Karan Johar film; it’s very special. Karan, according to me, is one of the greatest directors we have or will ever have in this country. I’m just honoured that he found me able to act in his film.

There are rumours that you’re not happy with the way your character has shaped up in the film. Can you comment on that?

Karan (Johar) can give me a passing shot and I’d be pleased with it. I’m no one to be pleased or not pleased with my role in the film. I’m a very insignificant actor when it comes to the other actors in this film. I’ve said it before, it’s not about having a good role or not having a good role, I’m just happy I got a role in this film.

How is it working with Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji?

I love working with Rani. She’s one of my favorite co-stars. She understands me as an actor. This is my first time working with Shah Rukh and Preity and thankfully, I’m doing another film with Preity soon. I’m still trying to beg and plead with Karan to make another film with Shah Rukh and me.

Amitabh Bachchan is playing a rather flamboyant role in KANK. So, if you take away the actor in you, was the son alright with that presentation?

Whatever Dad does, he does it with immense grace and dignity. I think he’s the best part of KANK, after Karan.
