The biggest year-end release Dhoom 2 is revving up to a big release soon. With actors Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead, this sequel is a much larger version of the previous biking fantasy ride.

Shot in little-seen Brazil and Nigeria and packed with anti-gravity stunts, Dhoom 2 looks every bit the fast paced thrill ride. This is also the first film that pairs Hrithik Roshan and a very slim Aishwarya Rai on screen.

Aishwarya Rai, director J P Dutta and Abhishek Bachchan had lots to say at the launch of the book, Umrao Jaan, that trails the making of the film, on Sunday at Imax Adlabs, Vadala. But everything seemed to take a backseat as all eyes were strained on trying to spot any evidence of chemistry between the two stars. Wonder if Rai’s constant glances at the brooding Abhishek let anything out, but we are absolutely awestruck by Aby’s hairband. Doesn’t he look totally delish?

Showstopper: Is Aby Jr going metrosexual?

After his virtual absence from almost all promotional events for his forthcoming film Umrao Jaan, actor Abhishek Bachchan more than made up for it at the launch of the coffee table book "Making of Umrao Jaan." Also present were the leading lady Aishwarya Rai and director J P Dutta.

Abhishek Bachchan, who had us all on our toes (literally, what with his six-plus frame) to take a closer look at the new hair style he sported for an Umrao Jaan event. Bachchan was wearing an Alice band, the fashion accessory which many of us may have left behind at school, or may have reinvented it along with cargoes and baby doll dresses.

On this occasion however, Bachchan Jr, rather nonchalantly showed off his latest accoutrement, with his stern black suit and striped tie. Quirky yes, but we are not quite sure if the style statement was made on a whim or a carefully administered antidote to a bad hair day.

Our news system had been down for the past 10 days, but we have finally managed to fix it. It was caused due to a firewall on the server that has now been removed.
