Bachchan’s here, Bachchan’s there and Bachchan’s everywhere. On Saturday, Bollywood's first family along with Abhishek's fiancee Aishwarya Rai were in the Capital and it was a long day for the Bachchans.

After spending Saturday morning in Vindhyanchal attending close friend Amar Singh's birthday celebration, Amitabh Bachchan with his entire family Jaya, Shweta, Abhishek and Aishwarya made their way to the French Embassy in Delhi in the evening.

And the reasons were many. The most important was Amitabh Bachchan being honoured with French government's highest distinctionLegion d'Honneur for his contribution to Indian and international cultural life.

“It is deeply moving and I hope I live up to the value of this decoration,” said Bachchan.

The occasion was also used to screen a documentary, Penguins, A Love Story voiced by Bachchan in English and Hindi. It’s the Indian version of the Oscar winning French documentary March of the Penguins.

As expected, Amar Singh was also very much with the Bachchans. But when questioned about any political ambition, Bachchan promptly changed the subject.

“I am not into Politics and would request you all to ask me questions regarding this event only,” said Bachchan.

This was one rare occasion when the Bachchan family, with their newest addition Aishwarya, made their public appearance and posed happily for the pictures. All we can say is Karan Johar's K3G is old hat, now it is all about A3B.
