Every guest at the Ash-Abhi wedding, which was held at Pratiksha, was under strict surveillance. Each of them was attended by a safari-clad security person. This security guard accompanied the guest only up to the first check-in area. After which he parked himself at a temporary cabin, erected on one side especially for the security.

CELL OUT, PLEASE

No mobile phones were allowed inside. A big basket was placed at the entrance where mobile phones could be collected. The mobile phones were tagged with the name of their respective owners, who would obviously collect them after the ceremony, on their way out.

INTERNAL AFFAIRS: THREE CHECK NAKAS

Each guest had to go through various check points from the time he entered the bungalow. One was at the main entrance; the second was immediately when you turned right to go towards the mandap. The third one was at the entrance of the mandap that was surrounded with a fibre glass casing erected for sound proof purposes.

BAR CODE FOR INVITEES

Each invite had a bar code which was duly scanned under the scanner at the first entrance, where framed metal detectors were also placed.

MIND THE MANDAP

The guests were requested not to rush towards the mandap as it wouldn't be spacious to accommodate them all. The entire bungalow, except for one single room on the top floor, were opened up for the guests to hang out in. The room on the top floor was kept reserved, and completely secluded for the bride. Evidently Ash needed to relax too, during the evening, away from the madding crowd.

BIG B LOST HIS COOL

What's a wedding without a few frayed nerves? So, Amitabh Bachchan lost his temper too. He was angry with some of his baraatis. He wanted them to get into the waiting busses quickly, and not spend too much time in public view under media glare. In fact, he was seen rebuking one of the baraatis angrily. Evidently, a tense pa at work.

PURDAH, PLEASE!

There was a gap between two buses from where the media cameras could capture what was happening inside. Big B asked the drivers to fill in the gap to block media view.

HORSEPLAY

Ghodi on which Abhishek rode to Pratiksha was called Chandni, and was hired from Tinnu Verma's brother's stable. Abhi obviously enjoyed his ride, everyone saw him doing the 'bale bale' on Chandni.

SUMMER SIPPERS

A variety of desi chaats and around 20 different kinds of sherbets were doing the rounds since morning and throughout the afternoon and evening, for the guests.

FOREIGN FLASHERS

There were four professional foreign photographers who were capturing every move in the house efficiently. Since the Bachchans have consistently denied 'selling' the rights of the wedding to any foreign publication, we're wondering who these guys, who appeared very, very skilled at their job, were?

NORTH MEETS SOUTH

In true secular style, the wedding rituals followed twin cultural formats. The first round featured the South Indian Bunt style wedding (Ash is a Bunt). Meanwhile, how could the Bachchans not have Round Two - that is the typical North Indian format too?
