Amitabh Bachchan has always been known for being son Abhishek's biggest fan, standing up for him even when his career was going through quite a rough patch. But it looks like there is one strength that the Big B wishes the junior Bachchan would pull his socks up over - and no, it’s not his acting or dancing skills, but his rather weak Hindi.
"It is true that this generation has trouble with speaking Hindi - even my son Abhishek finds it difficult, and that’s why I ask him to try and talk to me in Hindi to improve his pronunciation and vocabulary – but he doesn’t listen to me," said Amitabh, who was present at a function held in Mumbai by the Navbharat Times (NBT). The newspaper celebrated its 57th anniversary on June 28 by honouring people from different professions who have encouraged the use of Hindi in day-to-day life.
