Abhishek to sing and perform an item song for Sunil Shetty

Junior, Anna and Apu aka Abhishek, Sunil Shetty and Apoorva Lakhia are best buds. And now this friendship will be turning into a business alliance with Abhishek all set to perform on an item number in Mission Istanbul for producer Suniel and director Apoorva’s 80-crore budgeted action epic.

Lakhia who has been shooting in the freezing cold of Istanbul for the past month and a half gives details reluctantly, “I wanted all the actors from my film Shootout At Lokhandwala to be part of Mission Istanbul in one way or another.

Abhishek is not just a dear friend but also a lucky mascot. He is going to perform a sizzling item song.”

What’s more, Abhishek might even croon the song himself.

Why not?

“Annu Malik has already designed a rocking tune for Abhishek to dance to. Whether Abhishek sings it or not depends entirely on whether the tune can be adjusted to suit Abhishek’s octave. If it’s a cool hip-hop song like what he crooned in Bluffmaster!, then why not?”

Abhishek who’s currently shooting for his FX special Drona, is looking forward to getting into his dancing shoes for his two pals.

Adds Apoorva, “Mission Istanbul has turned out to be a very rugged film, and Abhishek’s song will give it a much-needed breather. All my heroes are running around bare-chested while I’m wearing three layers of clothes here in Turkey.”

But don’t hold your breath girls, Abhishek won’t go bare-chested for the item song.
