Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan along with wife Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter in law Aishwairya Bachchan were in Daulatpur village in Barabanki disctrict in Uttar Pradesh to lay the foundation stone for a girls' school named after Bachchan bahu. The school, which will be named after the Bachchan daughter-in-law -- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is the very first in that area.

In addition to the Bachchan family, a number of UNPA leaders including former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister -- Mulayam Singh Yadav -- and Senior SP leader and close friend of the Bachchans -- Amar Singh -- also attended the ceremony.

The function comes less than two months after Amitabh Bachchan got a reprieve from the Allahabad High Court over a controversial farmland purchase in Barabanki district.
