After Sarkar, Abhishek Bachchan will reprise his Shankar Nagre role once again in Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar Raj. Before the film releases on June 6, the actor gives us a glimpse.

You look very angry in the promos of Sarkar Raj. Why is that?

Okay, that means I have failed as an actor. It's meant to be an intense, calculating kind of look because Sarkar Raj is an intense film. It's not the sort of film where you start dancing around trees. It's an intense film about close-ups, strong characters and some difficult decisions.

Are you happy with your character?

I am happy that I got an opportunity to work with RGV, dad, Aishwarya and the entire team of Sarkar Raj. It was wonderful to meet the Nagre family again after Sarkar. It was fun shooting for the film because we were doing something we were proud of.

It's rumoured that Aishwarya started shooting for this film immediately after your wedding and she was nervous on the sets.

Not at all. I have done many films with Aishwarya and she was not nervous at all. After pack up, it's one big family. We chat and eat together. The moment camera was on, Ash became Anita Rajan and I became Shankar Nagre.

Did you have any professional differences with her or did she give you any tips?

Ash has always shared tips with me. As a colleague, she has been wonderful, very forthcoming and extremely helpful.

Ram Gopal Varma has said many times that you are a better actor than your father. Does he still maintain this?

It's better if you ask him but I don't think he is correct. He is wrong when he says that I am a better actor than dad. I believe strongly that dad is the best we have had, best we have and the best we will ever have. There is just no competition. I believe that no one can challenge him.

Who should we look forward to in this film -- Amitabh, Aishwarya or you?

I think you should look forward to RGV.

Post the Aag debacle, will this film bring in the audiences?

That will be answered only after June 6.

Are you open to criticism?

I have always said this: I am what I am as an actor only because of the media and the film critics. They have guided me all the way. They have told me when I needed to improve. You need to share your film with the media and take their guidance.

I have many friends in the media, who guide me. I show them some of my stuff -- promos and other stuff -- and then ask for their opinion.

It's said that that the film's climax has leaked out and distributors are worried because of it?

From what I know distributors are excited about the film's release. talk. I think these are all baseless rumours. There is no apprehension among the distributors. The ending is very exciting; I promise you this.

Do you read your dad's blog?

Yes, daily.

It has created many controversies.

It isn't him, who creates controversies but you. He gives his opinion. Whether that opinion is controversial or not is for you to decide. You are the conscience of the nation and you decide what people should or should not think. If someone has a particular point of view, that should be respected.

Will you succumb to any pressure if it comes to deleting any scene?

Legally the only body you need to listen to is the Censor Board. The film has passed with a U/A certificate. They have not seen anything objectionable and have not asked for any cuts.

The three Bachchans are all set to create magic in Sarkar Raj?

I hope so. We have worked very hard, honestly and sincerely. We hope every film does well or else why would we make them? We want to entertain the audience and I believe Sarkar Raj is very entertaining.

Does competition scare you?

I don't believe in competition. Competition should help you do a better job. One should take it positively. It's wonderful that a new generation is coming in.

Ranbir Kapoor's work is superb, Sonam Kapoor is working with me in Delli 6. They are so prepared and able.

There is a billion viewers of Indian cinema. I don't think all of them want to see just one person.
