Following into the footsteps of Christian Bale and Renee Zelwegger is none other than our very own Abhishek who seems have gotten obsessed with ‘looking the part’!

Where he was asked to gain weight by Mani Ratnam for Guru just so that he looks the part of a Gujarati businessman, Ram Gopal Varma wanted him to lose not all but a little excess weight for Sarkar Raj since Shankar Nagre’s character advances in the sequel and AB was to be a married man in it! Abhishek successfully managed to do both!

This was not all! Abhishek plays a man who is in charge of saving the human race from getting annihilated in Drona and that required him to look fit and extremely athletic. He had to lose all the extra flab and even that was done successfully by this actor who wants to leave no stone unturned to give his best to his directors and roles.

Says a unit hand of Dostana, “In Dostana, Abhishek plays a doctor and had to look not just model-like but also believable. However, the catch was the fact that the film is a romantic comedy and was to be shot on beaches... just like Neil n Nikki. To add to it, Abhishek had John as a co-star who is extremely lean and fit. It was tough for Abhishek to look normal without looking bulgy or muscular and he succeeded!”
