When asked for the reason behind it, the director says, "This is film is very close to my heart like Rang De Basanti since it is about my home town Delhi. So the film has to be perfect. But my wife and I saw the film while editing and I'm not satisfied with it on a whole. We are planning to re-shoot some climax portions in Delhi with Abhishek, Sonam and other actors. We will start working on it by the end of October."

Adds our source from the Dilli 6 unit, "Mehra is not satisfied with the shooting during the last schedule. But there won't be any problem as the set raised is still intact. A little patch work that has to be done will happen after the Bachchans' tour gets over."

About the film, Mehra explains, "This film is also youth oriented ala RDB but the crux of the story is based on the characters from Old Delhi – places like Chandni Chowk Bazaar etc. I want Dilli 6 to be talked about as it's about my heart –Delhi. I can't give more details but this film has 6 times more emotions as compared to Rang De Basanti,"

Dilli 6 will see Amitabh and Abhishek playing grandfather and grandson while Gulshan Grover will be playing Junior B's dad. Another veteran actor Rishi Kapoor will portray the character of a Pathan. Yesteryear star Waheeda Rehman too is part of this multi-starrer.
