Mumbai, Aug 12: Ace director Karan Johar recently proved that he too is a shrewd businessman, just like best friend Shah Rukh Khan, by selling his much anticipated flick ‘Dostana’ for a whopping Rs 50 crores to none other than good friend Aditya Chopra.

KJo has reportedly sold the worldwide distribution rights of ‘Dostana’ to Yash Raj Films, even though he was offered better price by other distributors like- Studio 18 and Eros. It is learnt that Johar was sure of giving the global rights to his old pal’s banner as their association goes a long way.

The film is directed by Karan's assistant, Tarun Mansukhani, and boasts of a huge starcast including- Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra, Shilpa Shetty and Bobby Deol.
