He knows he looks uber cool in those dark shades that he was sporting, and made it a point not to take them off, even when repeatedly requested to.In town recently to promote his film, Bachchan Jr fielded questions from journos even as his film inches closer to the release date.

Abhishek Bachchan seems quite upbeat about his next project — helmed by buddy Goldie Behl, and starring Priyanka Chopra and Kay Kay Menon. The effect he has on the fairer sex was evident the moment he appeared. He was constantly badgered with one request after another from his fans — and Abhishek being the perfect gentleman — did not let the women down.

In the movie, his character uses a specific sword which is supposed to be his prop. And, the sword has its own story. When quizzed about this, the actor says, “Well, we used three different swords in the film. All the three swords were manufactured in different parts of the world. But, it so happened that whenever we separated the three swords, something ill-fated took place. Once, our entire set got washed away! And other such incidents followed,” he smiled. That must have been really devastating. “Yes, and so, the entire cast and crew became really superstitious. Even today, though the shooting is wrapped up, the three swords are kept together,” says he. One cannot talk to the actor and not ask about his gorgeous wife. So, does he have any plans of working with Aishwarya again? “Oh yes, we begin shooting for a film in about ten days from now,” says he excitedly.

He sure is leading a blessed life these days. He was recently saved from the grave bomb attacks that shook Delhi! He was only a few meters away from the site where the bombing happened. Talking about it, the actor gets serious, “These bombings are really shattering. Thank God, I got saved. But, whatever happened is really sad and I hope and pray that this is not repeated.” Having the kind of family that he does, and the kind of people he grew up with, almost the entire industry is family to him. But, who is that one person who awes him to the core? He does not even take a second to come up with the expected answer, “Pa. I am in complete awe of dad. When I see him perform, even today, it is a different feeling altogether,” he says matter-of-factly.

Apart from the soon to be released flick, Abhishek has another film with Priyanka and John Abraham titled Dostana and, of course, Dilli 6 — which is supposed to be Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s semi-auto-biographical flick. Here’s wishing Ab’s baby all the luck!
