“Abhi, this Raj Thakre continues to threat your family, he passes statements on your family, MNS activists print posters abusing your father. As an angry young man do you sometime feel offended and a need for reaction? Do you get angry some time? What is your say on this issue as a part of Bachchan family?” DeshGujarat.Com journalist asked Abhishek Bachchan.

Abhishek in reply with slight smile on his face said, “I am not an angry young man. I am a cool young man. Let them do their work and let me do my work. I want to concentrate on my films and my work.”

Bollywood film-star Abhishek Bachchan was in Ahmedabad on Monday for promotion of his film ‘Drona’ which is going to release this week. ‘Drona’ director and Abhi’s friend Goldie Behal was also with Abhishek during Ahmedabad visit.

Both Abhi and Goldie arrived in Ahmedabad in a private charter plane. After brief refreshment halt in Taj Hotel, at around 2.00 pm they arrived at second floor of Big Bazaar superstore on S.G.highway where journalists and fans were waiting for them for couple of hours. When Abhishek entered the stage, crowd of fans pushed and broke down the cordon and rushed towards the place reserved for journalists. Some women cried, security men handled the situation with great difficulty in some moments.

In a quick question-answer session Abhi said that whenever he had came to Ahmedabad, his film was hit. This time too he was hopeful for the same(However this was far from truth. Abhi had visited Ahmedabad for twice before. His first visit to the city of Ahmedabad was for promotion of his debut film Refugee which was flop and second visit was for film Mumbai Se Aya Mera Dost which also was a flop. However Abhi clarified that though MSAMD was flop at all the other places across the nation, it was a hit in Ahmedabad.)


In a reply to question about possible Indian version of Unforgettable tour, Abhi promised that he would bring Unforgettable tour to Ahmedabad, possibly in 2009.

Relating himself with Gujarat through Dandiya, Abhi said that he used to go to Dandiya regularly before some years in traditional dress. This year he has a busy shooting schedule during Navratri but he would like to go for Dandiya along with wife Aishwarya if get little time for that.

About his mother Jaya Bachchan’s recent apology to the people of Maharashtra he said that there was nothing wrong to apologies. However he clarified that on the music release of ‘Drona’ whatever his mother said in public was unintentional and was said in innocence.

When asked about recent terrorist attacks he said that terror acts are done by cowardly people but Indian people’s solidarity and resilience is remarkable. Just a day after blasts, markets were packed with the presence of common people and roads were normal. Blasts had no impacts. Thus coward terrorists were defeated by the people.


When asked whether he would like to blog like his father, Abhishek replied that if people would be interested to read his blog, he would write. He threw the question to the people.

Abhishek skipped an answer to the question on what was the key to enter into the world’s most beautiful woman’s heart.

When asked when Bachchan family would work in a same film, Abhishek said that suitable script was not available for this. In an answer to a question he said that He is more comfortable in working with his mother in compare to his father.
