Here is one guy who is completely macho. The thinking woman's sex symbol is someone who has made the stubble a fashion statement and looks better with it than he does clean shaven.

Abhishek Bachchan's out with his next movie this week and he says he's following his father, but is aware that there is a world of difference between them.

"I don't compare myself to my father. I just try to follow in his footsteps," he said, "Calling his a hard act (to follow) is very cynical. I look at his track record as a son as very inspiring."

MUMBAI: Abhishek Bachchan, who pretends to be gay in "Dostana", says the film does not make fun of any community and adds that he wouldn't mind doing a film like "Brokeback Mountain".

"Actors are required to do many things, not all close to their personality or orientation. I wouldn't call 'Dostana' unusual. I'd call it unique. It's a very funny film," said Abhishek in an interview.

Exactly two screenings of Karan Johar's keenly anticipated DOSTANA have been held so far. The first screening, held on Tuesday night at Yash Raj, was attended by the cast and crew of the film, besides the Chopras, who are close family friends of the Johars, besides being the global distributors of DOSTANA.

Abhishek Bachchan, who was shooting for Mani Ratnam's Ravana in Kerala, has taken a two day break alongwith wife, Ash to come to Mumbai and see Dostana.

The actor who plays a cool gay character will be going to see the film on Thursday evening alongwith members of the press. Now, only a confident actor can boast of doing such a thing. However, AB Baby will not be here to enjoy the fruits of his success.

Says the actor, "I am off to Kerala later, tonight."

Karan Johar had a screening for the cast and crew of Tarun Mansukhani's Dostana at Yash Raj Studios on Tuesday night. The Bachchan family turned up in full force Amitabh, Jaya, Aishwarya, and Abhishek himself.

Also present were Bobby and Tania Deol, make-up guru, Mickey Contractor, Farah Khan and designers Aki Narula and Manish Malhotra. Though Ritiesh Deshmukh is not a part of the film he was invited as Karan's guest.
Abhishek Bachchan says, "Yes I saw Dostana on Tuesday night and loved it. My family loved it as well."
