The prestigious Star Screen Awards were held on Saturday the 9th of January 2010 in Mumbai. The entire Bachchan parivaar was there to grace the occasion. The veteran Actor, Producer, Director Dev Anand Saab was also there. The entire 3 Idiots team was there, as was Actor, Producer, Director Rakesh Roshan. Actors Reteish Deshmukh and Shahid Kapoor were also there. Shahid was the anchor chosen for the Awards night.

The film ‘Paa’ was adorned with 5 Awards. The best actor and actress award was given to Amitabh Bachchan and vidya Balan respectively for the same film. There were many astounding performances by the other stars like Arshad Varsi performed on the latest song Iban Batuta doing the rounds from his latest flick ‘Ishqiya.’ Viviek Oberoi also performed as did Dia Mirza.

.Shahid Kapoor as the anchor of the show did a commendable job and had sported a different look with glasses and a checkered blazer, which was quite different from the look he normally adorns himself with.

After These Awards had got over, the entire lot of younger stars straight away headed for the party held to celebrate Hrithik Roshan’s birthday. There was the gang of ShahRukh Khan with wife Gauri Khan, Abhishek Bachchan with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who all left the venue together for the party.
