It’s not rare to hear of stars doing their own stunts, but it’s not everyday that you hear of an actor risking his life for a bit of on-screen daredevilry even when the director and the insurance company advise him against it. Abhishek Bachchan jumped off a cliff, plunging down 90 feet, straight into a river for a scene in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan.

When asked about his scene, Bachchan admitted that Ratnam was dead against him doing the stunt himself because the current was too strong and a 90-foot dive was too risky for an actor.

It has been exactly three years since the hot couple of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been married. Ever since then, the two have not come together in any film, other than Guru’, which was shot much before their wedding.

Raavan a is the story of a poor yet rebellious village dweller (Abhishek Bachchan) whose sister is publicly humiliated. To avenge this disgrace,he forcefully enters his oppressor's (Vikram's) house at night and in his absence kidnaps his wife (Aishwarya Rai).

Three years into their marriage and seven films together later, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan seem to have truly settled down now. In the promos of their seventh film, Mani Ratnam's Raavan which releases on June 18 this year, the two actors are looking like they have pulled out all stops for their performance.

Not only does his office have strict instructions not to float any controversial stories about Raavan, he has also decided he will not rise to the bait if some disgruntled press sorts make up fake stories.
