Something indeed seems to be cooking between Bollywood actors Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.

Rumours ought to be treated as rumours. But when the people around whom rumours revolve choose to stay silent, it creates room for speculation. So far, many in the media circles have been speculating the relationship between Ash and Abhishek.

First, there were reports of their "awesome chemistry" on the sets of J P Dutta's movie Umrao Jaan in which Ash and Abhi are acting together. Then, there were canards of Abhi's mom Jaya Bachchan strongly approving of Ash.

And now, on Abhishek's 30th birthday on February 5, those who attended the party witnessed the chemistry between Ash and Abhi.

Heed this. Ash was reportedly among the first ones to arrive at the party and was among the last ones to leave at about 4 am. Her car was allowed to drive into the Bachchans' bungalow Jalsa in Juhu, a privilege that was extended only to Ash.

And one of the guests who attended the party is quoted by Mid-Day as saying: "At the party, it was very obvious that Ash and Abhishek are a couple. They seemed very much in love, and danced together. It looks like they are finally becoming open about their relationship."

Abhishek's birthday party was indeed a star-studded event with the presence of Bollywood stars like Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan (with wife Gauri), Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Rani Mukherjee, Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Preity Zinta and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

Quite expectedly, Vivek Oberoi and Salman Khan were not there.

Just a few days back, Ash and Abhi were shooting for "Umrao Jaan." Now they start shooting for Dhoom 2 in the coming days. However, they are not cast opposite each other in the film.
