Mumbai: Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has said that his latest movie Delhi-6 was a journey into his childhood memories.

"Delhi-6 is much more than a movie. I have dipped the pen in the ink of my childhood memories and setting them against today's contemporary India, have tried to weave a story," Mehra said. "We are all living in difficult times and the film urges us to look within and if there is an answer then it is love because that's the law of nature and its creation," he said.

Amitabh Bachchan is an icon for many a budding actor but his son, Abhishek says his own acting style is more like that of his mother, Jaya.

"Dad is an inspiration to the whole world. His creativity, dedication are legendary. He is a great source of inspiration. However, my acting style is more like my mother. I would like to believe that I have the best of both," the junior Bachchan told reporters in an email interview.

He was born the same year that Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor made their first on-screen appearance with the much-acclaimed Kabhie Kabhie. 13 years later, Rishi's first interaction with Abhishek Bachchan on the sets of Dilli 6 was no less fun.

According to Abhishek, Rishi and he got along like a house on fire. "Rishi uncle and I got along very well with each other. Everyone on the sets was part of an extended family. We all used to eat and spend our spare time together," says Abhishek. Guess what made the two actors bond? A game of billiards! Rishi is actually a very good pool player, a skill that he has honed over the years.

Abhishek Bachchan will be celebrating his birthday (February 5) in New York. The actor is in NYC to attend the premiere of Pink Panther 2 and also to flag off the promotional campaign for Delhi-6.

A source reveals, "Abhishek is in New York to attend the premiere of Pink Panther 2 on February 3 along with Ash and his parents. Since he was going to be in the US, Delhi-6 director Rakeysh Mehra came up with the idea of kick-starting the promotion for Delhi-6 at the same time.

Last year Abhishek Bachchan had to celebrate his birthday (February 5th) in Jaipur where he was shooting for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Delhi-6. Now this year yet again he will be celebrating his birthday away from home as he will be in New York on that day. He will be flying to the Big Apple after he wraps up the shooting of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan. AB is currently in Orcha, near Jhansi.
