Mani Ratnam is being extra careful in making his adaptation of the Ramayana starring Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The film, which revolves around the kidnapping of Sita, has been adapted to suit modern times. Aishwarya plays the role of a married woman, who is kidnapped by Abhishek. Soon they get attracted to each other and the story progresses.
Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham will take ‘Dostana’ ahead as misunderstood straight men.
You are going to have another healthy dose of the gay pill courtesy the Dostana sequel in the making. “It’s on,” director Tarun Mansukhani says, “We are all wracking our brains for a plotline. I feel there’s room to carry the story forward. I would love to do it.” Producer Karan Johar, says, “Everyone seems to have made up their minds regarding Dostana’s sequel.”
Abhishek Bachchan, too, is excited about the sequel, “I think it’s a good initiative. Everyone loves the idea. Dostana is now a very popular brand and John Abraham and I are the hottest pair in Bollywood today.”

The two are finally working together in Maniratnam’s bilingual 'Raavan'. Abhi plays the hero of the Hindi version, in which Vikram plays the villain. Chiyaan actually plays the hero in the Tamil version, 'Raavana'.
