Ace producer Boney Kapoor has acquired the remake rights of the movie which will be remade without many changes.

According to initial reports Abhishek Bachchan is considered to do the lead role that Prithviraj had done with considerable ease while Kareena Kapoor is earmarked to do the potential dumb and mute act of the female lead, which was done by Jyothika in the original.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra is all set to start his forthcoming film Talismaan . Though he announced this film last year before the release of his Eklavya it took him quite long to actually start it. With the announcement of Talismaan he also informed that his favorite Amitabh Bachchan will have an influential role.

Wait! Apu has bagged yet another plum assignment. Prolific film-maker Vashu Bhagnani has signed the Apu -Abhishekh Bachchan combination for his next film, which will roll sometime next year. “It's a 2-hero project. Besides Abhishek, we need to finalize one more hero,” he adds. The film, not titled yet, is an action-comedy.

Mumbai, May 10: Bachchan clan is coming together for a movie to be directed by NRI film-maker Pan Nalin ambitious project on the life of Gautam Buddha.

According to the reports, actor Amitabh Bachchan alongwith son Abhishek and daughter in law Aishwarya are in talks with director Pan Nalin for his international project on the life of Gautam Buddha. If all goes well, Abhishek will be playing the lead role in the flick. Amitabh and Aishwarya have been approached to play the characters of Buddha’s father ‘Shuddhodhana’ and that of his wife ‘Yashodhara’ respectively.

Sanghoee’s film company, Relentless Pictures, has partnered with media and entertainment company Eros International Plc., and they are in talks to secure Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan to play lead roles in the film, with shooting slated to begin in October in Michigan.
