B6 in Screen 4 of INOX (Forum) has seated thousands of movie viewers over seven years but never one who has made the rest of the audience turn its head and watch her rather than the movie.

On a show titled Meet the Most Famous People in the World, Oprah Winfrey introduced a superstar couple of Bollywood: "They stopped production on eight major movies and flew eight thousand miles to be here for their first ever television interview together. The movie star couple more famous than anybody else in the world - even more than Brad and Angelina ... anybody." I will give you one guess, and if you said Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, you get a gold star. The couple appeared on Oprah's talk show on September 28 not only answering questions but giving a Bollywood dance troupe the surprise of their lives. Aishwarya, in keeping with her status as an international star, has made appearances at Cannes, has a statue at Madame Tussauds and has appeared on David Letterman’s Late Show and on Oprah Winfrey in the past. This time her husband Abhishek kept her company as he had been invited on the show with her. They had flown to the States last week to shoot for an episode on Oprah.

Abhishek Bachchan has performed the grand finale act at the IIFA 2009, held at Macao. Those who have missed out watching it live at The Venetian, Macao shall now get a chance to watch it during the telecast of the IIFA Awards 2009 today.

With only two days left for the IIFA awards, Bollywood stars have started descending on China's tiny coastal enclave of Macau which will host the tenth edition of the extravaganza.

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan used a cancer-awareness programme to call upon electorates to cast their ballot in the upcoming general elections.

"I was being told that as per a statistic out of 250 million young urban voters in the last election 16 per cent voted. And I think that a terrible figure. We keep on saying that we want change and want to improve our conditions. By casting votes, we wan bring that change. I believe that all youth who are eligible should go out and vote. Its' your birthright," he said.
