Putting to rest all speculation hours before the release, The Big B clarifies that the Mehbooba song in RGV's Aag is purely Urmila Matondkar's sizzle drizzle.

Says the Big B, "Like Gabbar in Ramesh Sippy's Sholay my character Babban stays out of the dance number. He's more a curious spectator than a participant. No, I don't get to dance with Urmila."

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s much hyped remake of Sholay was re-titled as Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag. Delhi High court has approved the release of the remake of Ramesh Sippy’s Sholay by changing the title of the film.

Financier-producer-distributor Bharat Shah and his partner Vinay Choksey have acquired the distribution rights of Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay for the Bombay circuit. The duo's banner VIP Films is gearing up to release the film on a grand scale on July 13.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Ajay Devgan, Prashant Raj Sachdev, Sushmita Sen, Nisha Kothari, Sushant Singh, Rajpal Yadav and Gaurav Kapoor with Urmila Matondkar, Abhishek Bachchan and Ganesh Hegde in special appearances. Written, directed and produced by Ram Gopal Varma, the film has music by Bappi Lahiri, Amar Mohile and Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is backed by Adlabs.

It's final. Ram Gopal Varma's Sholay is ready for release. The date is…don't freak out…Friday the 13th of July.

Bharat Shah has acquired the all India theatrical rights of RGV’s Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay, it is learnt. The film is nearing completion and will be released by the end of the year.

Shah, say sources, plans to ride the wave of hype created by the film, and then work out a profitable deal by selling the film to various distributors in parts.
