New Delhi: Rajya Sabha member Jaya Bachchan has alleged tax officials harassed her family when they asked for information on expenses incurred on the wedding of her son Abhishek with fellow actress Aishwarya Rai.

"I received notices from (service) tax authorities who wanted to know how much was spent on beauty parlour and flowers at my son’s wedding," Bachchan told the House on Saturday.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan has apologised for the alleged assault on mediapersons outside his bungalow on Saturday.

Three photo-journalists were allegedly attacked by security guards escorting a cavalcade carrying Bachchan’s newly wed son Abhishek and his wife Aishwarya outside the family bungalow, ‘Prateeksha’.

Newly-wed Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai today sought the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara at the famous hill shrine at Tirumala near Tirupati.

The Bollywood stars, who entered wedlock on Friday, were in the sanctum sanctorum for about ten minutes, temple sources told PTI.

It has been dubbed Bollywood's wedding of the decade. The reigning king and queen of Indian cinema tied the knot on Friday in a private ceremony attended by a small group of billionaires, politicians and close family.

Following Hindu tradition in northern India, actor Abhishek Bachchan, 31, rode in on a white horse leading his wedding procession in Mumbai, before circling a fire to marry one of his leading ladies, Aishwarya Rai, 33.

After an elaborate wedding on April 20, where the who's who of Bollywood were invited, it was time for Aishwarya Rai's bidaai ceremony.

The bidaai - where the bride says goodbye to her parents and relatives, and leaves for her husband's home - took place at Ash's Bandra home, La Mer.

Every guest at the Ash-Abhi wedding, which was held at Pratiksha, was under strict surveillance. Each of them was attended by a safari-clad security person. This security guard accompanied the guest only up to the first check-in area. After which he parked himself at a temporary cabin, erected on one side especially for the security.

It has been 48 hours since Abhishek and Aishwarya tied the knot. And yet the curiosity continues unabated.

We caught hold of a guest who attended the wedding ceremony at Amitabh Bachchan's Juhu bungalow, Pratiksha. The person reveals the inside story, "Nearly 200 members from Aishwarya's family stood at the entrance of Pratiksha with folded hands to welcome us. Although Ash's parents maintained an extremely low profile through the wedding, they made sure that all the baraatis were treated well," says our source.
